When Sterling writes about authenticity, he means originality, simple, and untainted. By being a “consumer in a product technosociety” he means that there is always going to be new inventions and creations in our society for us to be interested in. In my personal world, I consider authentic something that is original and real. A gadget that has engaged my interest is the iPhone. I have one and I love it. It allows me to be creative with all of the new applications that it presents and use my imagination. For example, one of the apps that I have that allows me to do this is the doodle app where you can draw and create whatever design or picture you can imagine. It allows me to show my creativity and personality, which can represent my personal history and culture.
An object that triggers nostalgia in me is photographs. Photographs remind me of my home and remind me of the good times I have had with the people that I love. It makes me miss my home, my family, and my friends.
This is a photograph that reminds me of my hometown, my family, and my friends. This picture was taken the night before all of my friends and I graduated from high school. It was a very exciting night for all of us that we will all remember. That night there was a slideshow shown that included pictures from all four years of high school that we had all experienced together. We reminisced on all of the good times we had throughout all of high school and all of my family and friends were there.
